About Us
Since 1966, the Western Dairyland Head Start program has been preparing young children ages three to five to succeed in school and beyond in Buffalo, Eau Claire, Jackson, and Trempealeau counties. The Early Head Start program for infants, toddlers, and pregnant women was added in September 2015. Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote children's development through services that support early learning, health, and family well-being. Learn more about Head Start.

Where will families go instead? This is the question posed today, Day 14 of the 20 day comment challenge from Wisconsin Head Start Association (WHSA). For many of our families, especially in our rural communities, Head Start is the only option available to them for high quality care and education for their young children.
