About Us

Since 1966, the Western Dairyland Head Start program has been preparing young children ages three to five to succeed in school and beyond in Buffalo, Eau Claire, Jackson, and Trempealeau counties. The Early Head Start program for infants, toddlers, and pregnant women was added in September 2015. Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote children's development through services that support early learning, health, and family well-being. Learn more about Head Start.

JOB OPENING! We're hiring a Teacher Assistant at the Arcadia Early Learning Center. This is a limited term position starting in January and ending June 8, 2019. This part-time position works on Mondays and Tuesdays for a total of 14 hours per week. The starting wage is $12.33 per hour. Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma and must pass the required background check prior to employment. Spanish/English billingual skills are beneficial. The ideal candidate has knowledge of early childhood education and/or a background in the field with demonstrated abilities to work with young children, many who may be living in trauma.
