Job Description:

We're hiring a full-time Bi-Lingual Family Services Specialist at our Head Start Early Learning Center located in Independence, WI.

Head Start promotes school readiness for children under the age of five from income-eligible families by supporting their growth and development in a positive learning environment through comprehensive services that include early learning, health, and family well-being. We're a mission-driven organization making a positive impact in our community since 1966.

This is a full-time, school-year position, and the hours of work are Monday through Friday.  The starting wage for this position is $19.20 to $22.00 per hour depending on qualifications.

Summary of job responsibilities:

Work with Head Start families to build strong and effective partnerships that can help support family well-being and promote learning and development. Assist families in accessing community resources that are responsive to family needs and goals.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Development & Family Studies, or a related field. Experience working with families is a plus.  Candidate must speak fluent Spanish.

Employees can contribute immediately. After 1 year of employment, the agency will contribute between 3 and 6 percent, dependent on the employee's contribution.
